Inheriting Genomic Information

Topic:  Genomics 101 – Inheriting Genomic Information

Summary: This course is primarily targeted at all healthcare professionals working in the NHS who are either new to this area or have limited exposure to genomics in their clinical role.

You inherit your genome from your parents, which is passed on to almost every cell in your body. Some variations in the DNA can affect health and can be passed on to future children. Understanding this is important not only for the health professional treating the individual, but also for the patient and their family.
