In our GLH geography we have two regional clinical genetics services supporting the GLH. These are North West Thames and North East Thames Regional Genetics Services.
The North West Thames Regional Genetics Service
The North West Thames Regional Genetics Service, is based at Northwick Park and St Mark’s Hospitals, and offers outreach clinics in different hospitals across the region which covers: Brent, Chelsea, Ealing Edgware, Hammersmith, Harrow, Hertfordshire, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kensington, Westminster. The service offers genetic counselling, genetic diagnosis and ongoing management recommendations to individuals and families living in our region. The team is formed by a group of experienced clinicians with a wide range of specialist interests and also offers a number of multidisciplinary clinics with colleagues at Imperial Hospital Healthcare. The North East Thames Clinical Genetics Service
The North East Thames Clinical Genetics Service, is based at Great Ormond Street Hospital and serves a population of 4.5 million across North East London and Essex including (List as above). The majority of our clinics are held in peripheral hospitals. The multidisciplinary team provides support for children and adults affected by or at risk of a genetic condition. In addition all of our highly specialised services provide clinical support and genetic advice as required.
